Der Dokumentarfilm RAISING RESISTANCE zeigt am Beispiel Paraguays wie großflächiger Sojaanbau zunehmend die Existenz einheimischer Landbewohner und Bauern bedroht. Eindringlich schildert der Film den wachsenden Widerstand der Campesinos gegen die Dominanz landwirtschaftlicher Großkonzerne und den aggressiven Einsatz von Gentechnologie. Der Film porträtiert einige Kleinbauern vor Ort und beobachtet über Monate den sich langsam zuspitzenden sozialen und politischen Konflikt.The documentary film RAISING RESISTANCE shows – using the example of Paraguay – how large-scale soy farming is increasingly threatening the existence of local rural inhabitants and farmers. With great vividness the film describes the growing resistance of the Campesinos against the dominance of large agricultural corporations and the aggressive use of genetic engineering. The documentary portrays some local small farmers and observes the social and political conflict slowly coming to a head over the months.
